Part 02

Why BUILD?

Why BUILD is worth it, and exactly what's different if you've been building in Calendar for years.

Why it's better

The features coaches can't stop talking about.

Click a feature below to see it in action.

What coaches love most

A few features coaches keep coming back to.

Pulled straight from what our CSM team hears again and again from coaches using BUILD.

Progression ViewSee your week the way you want — stack all your Mondays side-by-side.
Undo ButtonQuickly restore deleted workout items in case of accidental removal.
Multi-Select ToolManage, copy, or delete whole segments or specific pieces of your workout.
Drag and DropEasily drag and drop exercises, questionnaires, or entire sections of your program.
Coming from Calendar

Same job, new workflow. Here's the translation coming from Legacy.

If you've been building in the old Calendar for years, here's how what you already know maps onto Build.

In Calendar

You built and saved workout programs directly on the calendar.

In Build

Your programs carried over automatically — nothing to re-build.

In Calendar

You used “Calendars & Sub-Calendars” to organize.

In Build

Calendars & Sub-calendars work exactly the same way.

In Calendar

There was no way to undo an accidental delete.

In Build

Undo restores up to 10 deleted items, instantly.

🔒

Nothing you've already built is lost.

Every program, calendar, and workout you’ve build in Calendar carries over automatically. It'll feel different for about one session, give it one real workout to build, and it starts to click.

Getting comfortable

A few things to expect early on.

Small, normal things coaches run into in their first sessions — none of them mean something's wrong.

💬 Compiled from your early beta feedback

🧠

Old workarounds take a beat to unlearn

If you built a personal workflow around Calendar's limitations, expect a session or two before Build's shortcuts feel like your new default.

Tip: try the 5-step walkthrough above before judging the workflow.
↩️

Undo only goes back so far

The undo function currently restores up to 10 consecutive deleted items — beyond that, they're gone.

Tip: use multi-select carefully on large deletes.
📋

Editing a template updates live athletes

Changing a saved program updates every athlete assigned to it — except days they've already completed.

Tip: duplicate first if you only want to change it for one athlete.
🔄

Edits not saving? Refresh and log back in

On some locked-down networks (like government or school-managed computers), a session hiccup can briefly stop edits from registering.

Tip: log out, back in, and your work will pick back up.
Common questions

What changes for you.

Straight answers, pulled from the questions coaches actually ask.

Will the programs I built in the legacy calendar carry over?
Yes! Build was designed to bring over all previously created programs so nothing is lost. Coaches will be able to pick up where they left off!
What’s the difference between Calendars and Programs?
Calendars are used for date-based programming and allow for users to modify sub-calendars before the program goes to an athlete’s calendar

Programs are used for dateless programs. These can be assigned to groups or athletes to complete at their own pace, and saved programs can be edited at any time to update everyone assigned to them
Who do I contact if I need help?
You can always contact our Customer Success Team or schedule time to learn more here - https://calendly.com/d/dtmd-84j-bsm/build-orientation
Where can I find “Week View” from the legacy calendar?
Within Build you view programs for the Day, Week, or Month. Select the “Day” dropdown menu at the top right and select Week
  • Within this view, you can look at a certain day of the week for up to the next 6 weeks in a consecutive day view by clicking that Day at the bottom.
What options do I have to copy programs?
You can copy full training days or only certain elements by using the "Multi-select" tool, or speed things up further with keyboard shortcuts.
  • These can be copied to a single date, multiple selected dates, or an entire date range at once.
How can I reduce the amount of clicks when building a program?
Build offers Keyboard Shortcuts while building. To view all available shortcuts click the Settings button at the top right of your page.
What’s the best way to display today’s workout on a tv?
Build offers an expanded view of the workout! Simply click the TV icon at the top right of the page.
