Turn a failed payment into a paid one.
Memberships bill the card on file through your own Stripe account. When a charge fails, TeamBuildr OS flags it on your dashboard, tries again on its own, and lets you send the member a link to update their card.
Switching platforms?Bring your members' cards from StripeOn Stripe now? Your members' cards come with you.
If your current software processes payments through Stripe, we move your members' saved cards into TeamBuildr OS. Nobody re-enters a card, and the transfer is usually done within 24 hours.
Your own Stripe account
You log into Stripe yourself. This is the simplest case.
Stripe run by your old platform
Your old platform has to provide the export. It works, but it can take some back-and-forth.
Not on Stripe
Cards can't move from other processors. Members add one in My account, or you send them a card request.
Get Stripe ready
A few minutes in your Stripe dashboard.
- 1Upload your membersEach card needs a member profile in TeamBuildr OS to land on.
- 2Connect Stripe to TeamBuildr OSOne click in Studio Settings, under Payments.
- 3Mark each card Default in StripeOnly cards with the Default badge transfer.
- 4Export your Stripe customersThe export has each customer's ID, name and email.
Move the cards
Handled by the TeamBuildr team.
- 1Match every card by emailEach Stripe customer is matched to the member with the same email.
- 2Cards land on member profilesUsually within 24 hours. Open a few profiles to check.
- 3Then add membershipsCards go on first, so upcoming billing dates charge cleanly.
Turn off billing in your old platform first. Cancel recurring memberships there, or in Stripe if you billed through Stripe directly, before TeamBuildr OS starts billing. Otherwise members can be charged twice.
Three ways to get a card on file.
Members can handle it themselves. When they don't, your staff can ask by email or take the card at the front desk.
Hi John, add a card for your membership payments using the secure link below.
Add your cardYour Stripe account. Your members' cards. Charged on schedule.
Connect Stripe once, and every automated charge in TeamBuildr OS reaches for the member's default card.
Every failed payment, front and center.
A declined card shouldn't hide in a report. TeamBuildr OS puts it on your dashboard, tells the member, and keeps trying while you decide what to do.

Payments and Billing questions
Yes. TeamBuildr OS processes payments through your Stripe account. In Studio Settings, open Payments and click Connect with Stripe. You can connect the Stripe account you already have or create a new one.
The invoice shows up under Unpaid invoices on your Overview dashboard with how many attempts have failed, and the member is emailed a failed payment notification. TeamBuildr OS schedules the next charge attempt automatically. You can also open the invoice and click Retry now, or Request payment to email the member for a new card.
Yes. Members go to My account, open the Membership tab and click Update payment details. Staff can also email a secure card request or enter a card at the front desk.
Not if your current software processes payments through Stripe. We transfer every card marked Default in Stripe to the matching member in TeamBuildr OS, matched by email. It's usually done within 24 hours. If you weren't on Stripe, members add a card in My account or through a card request.
Yes. Your old platform has to provide the payment method export or transfer for you, so it can take some back-and-forth and more time, but it works.
Upload member profiles first, then connect Stripe to TeamBuildr OS, then transfer cards, then add memberships. Cards go on before memberships so any membership with a billing date coming up charges successfully.
Yes, if your old billing keeps running. Before TeamBuildr OS starts billing, cancel every recurring membership in your old platform, or in Stripe if you billed through Stripe directly. That step is yours to do.
The most common reason is the card wasn't marked Default in Stripe. A card also won't transfer if the member has no TeamBuildr OS profile, their email is different in each system, or it's a bank account rather than a card. Only cards transfer.
Yes. At Point of Sale you choose which saved card to charge. Recurring membership billing always uses the member's default card.
Yes. Card data is encrypted and the system is PCI compliant. Enter cards somewhere private, where no one can see the screen or hear the member reading the number.
The card belongs to the person who pays, usually a parent. Kids and other dependents are set up as linked accounts under that payer.
Stop chasing payments. Let OS do it.
